Since 1949, Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community has operated not for profit, but for people. That distinction matters — because it means when a resident outlives their financial resources, we find a way. We call this The Promise, and it’s one we take seriously.
Each year, we provide approximately $2.8 million in unreimbursed care to residents who can no longer fully fund their own. That commitment isn’t possible through operating revenue alone. Donor generosity is what makes it real.
Our organization holds an 81% accountability score on ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer — an independent third-party rating that reflects our commitment to transparency. We believe donors deserve to know their gift is being stewarded well.

Resident Care Fund
When a resident’s savings are exhausted before their life is, the Resident Care Fund steps in. Gifts to this fund make it possible for Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community to honor The Promise—ensuring no one is asked to leave simply because of financial hardship.

Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community’s most immediate and flexible source of charitable support. Gifts of any size can be directed to the area of greatest need or to a specific fund. Contributions are fully tax-deductible under our 501(c)(3) status.
Memorial & Tribute Gifts
A gift in memory of a loved one — or in honor of a resident, staff member, or chaplain — is a deeply personal way to give. Memorial and tribute gifts are directed to the fund of your choosing and acknowledged with care.
Planned Giving & Estate Gifts
A bequest or estate gift is one of the most meaningful ways to make Quarryville part of your legacy. We’re always available for a discussion with you and your attorney or financial advisor about the different ways you can invest in our future.
